I love this cake!
 I found the basic design on the internet and customized it.  It's buttercream icing with fondant/gumpaste decorations.
Top picture is at the party, bottom picture was at my house.

I need to create a "photo studio" for taking pics of cakes.  This is not very professional:(

 Mermaid Cake.  You can see the shadows and reflections from the silver base a little too much in the pics.
